View Full Version : Is there any interest in an ASIO output plugin for Winamp?

As a small project for learning to use the ASIO API I have written an ASIO output plugin for Winamp. At present it is rather crude. It has no user configurability, it's hard coded to only work with a specific ASIO driver, etc.

Assuming I spent the time and effort to polish it up and release it, is there anyone here who would have a use for it? Would anyone be willing to pay for it? If you would have a use for it what features would you like to see in it?

Thanks for any input.

Oh my god! Yes, please!

I thought I was going crazy cuz I was the only person in the world who wanted to use visualization with ASIO output. How rockin of a window would that be?

I'm using a Aardvark Direct Pro 24/96. I'd be happy to beta for ya. =%>

I might pay a small amount if this was very stable. I desperately want to use ASIO in Winamp.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE....

I tried sending a private message to AproposofNothin many months ago but he never responded so this time I'm responding to thread instead. If either of you want to try out the current plugin send me an email at the following spam protected address:
js (at) woh (dot) rr (dot) com

The plugin is somewhat polished now though I think you still need to use regedit to adjust a few parameters.
