pampering costs money. dont make me pull up that 'girls are evil' proof again.

TechnoDeeJ

Of course it costs money...you wanna date - you'll have to shell out...this is one thing where being cheap is definitly not an asset

but this does not mean that you have to be rich or anything, just be attentive and know when, where, and what she wants...don't just shower with all kinds of "garbage" all the time....know what to get and when to get it

spunkbubble
30th October 2001, 06:33

Girls are not evil. I could dig up enough personal experiences to prove that men are all total scum, but I'm not even going to bother, it's so narrow-minded. Maybe if you weren't so narrow-minded, good things might start happening.

Pampering doesn't always cost money - it might only cost a cuddle, a compliment, a kiss.

Nice post, TechnoDeeJ.

I came onto this this site by accident. I was on the Tenacious D board when someone mentioned that someone else on this site claims to have invented inward singing. Well, I came on this site to find out who would make up such a lie and I found this discussion. I have to say this is funny. Maybe girls don't like you because they don't find you attractive. Maybe they don't like you because you don't have a good personality. It seems to me that if you are just looking for girls that are into your cell phone and car then you have issues in the first place. To say that girls are the downfall of society just because thy don't like you is completely ridiculous. You don't sound like you are 23, you should like you are into all of the high school drama still. Maybe you should blame girls not liking you on yourself.

Be sure to know that I am here..

Forever..

So hear now

Calling out your name, a wish that could come true

Burning on the flame, I'm reaching out to you

Played the waiting game, hear my calling, hear my calling...

Whispers in the air

I dreamed you into life

Hear a lover's prayer

I pray for you tonight

I can feel you there

Hear my calling, hear my calling...

No, but I wrote this...

the rose

i'm just your accident waiting to happen,

i guess i'm your shame

i'm still the thorn in your rose

the cloud of your silver lining,

the tears of your laughter,

guess i'm still your regret

these days don't move any faster

and i keep running from you

only to fall,

i'm the bitch in the corner

giving you jagged complaints

you've reached out your hand,

long ago,

and pricked your finger on me,
the thorn in your rose,

but you're not bleeding yet

i promise you will

bleed as i do

I love writing poetry. :)

wow, that's damn cool! beautiful even :)

I like Billy Corgan for my poerty, well songs:

Stand Inside Your Love
=========================

You and me
Meant to be
Immutable
Impossible
It's destiny
Pure lunacy
Incalculable
Insufferable

But for the last time
You're everything that I want and ask for
You're all that I'd dreamed
Who wouldn't be the one you love
Who wouldn't stand inside your love
Protected and the love of

A pure soul and beautiful you
Don't understand
Don't feel me now
I will breathe
For the both of us
Travel the world
Traverse the skies
Your home is here
Within my heart

And for the first time
I feel as though I am reborn
In my mind
Recast as child and mystic sage
Who wouldn't be the one you love
Who wouldn't stand inside your love

And for the first time
I'm telling you how much I need and bleed for
Your every move and waking sound
In my time
I'll wrap my wire around your heart and your mind
You're mine forever now
Who wouldn't be the one you love and live for
Who wouldn't stand inside your love and die for
Who wouldn't be the one you love

==========================================

always makes me smile :)

Age, car, cell phone, who gives a shit!!?
I've went out with older, younger, same age guys, some with cars others without, that is not what I personally look for in a guy. I've been out with the bad guy and let's say that it did not last very long...and he got a very bad reputation afterwards. So it's not worth turning into a bad guy. If you wait patiently and don't look, the person perfect for you will practically fall into you lap. That's what happened to me, the best relationships i've had happened accidentally.
Just stay yourself and stop being so materialistic, if you don't you just might end up with a first class bitch who will use you for your car or your money.

There are some OK girls out there!!

John M
12th November 2001, 23:59
thats what everyone tells me....

but i've never seen it come true.

they say girls are good & nice.

but they just make me blue

they say girls like you for who you are.

but where can i find one like that?

how near? how far?

-

when i look through the window all i see

is a hating world turned against me.

i reach out for a hand to touch

and feel something warm.

the heat of a thousand people who hate me.

izchan
13th November 2001, 08:11
I have read through 9 pages of messages ... and I find that the people here are interesting and funny.

I especially like the arguments about the bane of man ... :)

Do I think that girls are the one thing that cause the world to go down the drain?

Well ... I don't think that was the question ... the question from the original post is ... subtle as it seems .. "WHY IS THE OTHER WITH THE GIRL OF MY DREAM?"

and frankly ... I found that no one really helped our friend there and I feel sorry that he was forgotten ... or better yet, he forgot his own question ... :)

Well .. my two cents is that females do bring the world to a halt when they want to. I speak from experience from my everyday life. Every morning I wake up to see the most beautiful person that I have ever met and I wished that time will stop just so that I can stare on that face forever.

I am not a handsome guy, nor am I a "bad guy" person ... I am just your everyday nerd (software developer) that was minding his own business when one day while going to the hospital to see a friend, met up with this girl that was there as well. We chat, we talked, I liked looking at her and just for the first time in my life went up and asked her to go out for a movie the following saturday.

Surprisingly she said yes and the rest is history.

The saddest thing in this story is that the mutual friend that we went to vist died 4 months after we were together. I wanted to thank him for setting that chance for me that changed my life forever.

The moral of the story? ... are girls bad? ... are woman worst? ... I can't say. I can only say that the most of the good things in life are usually bad for health. Take chocalate for instance ... :) ... it gives me pimples and reclines my hair line whenever I eat them, but I love them none the less.

Woman gives me ulcers, I know that for a fact ... because I can never figure out why she is mad at me at things that I do everyday. But do I stay on with it? Yeah ... ulcers might kill me, not loving her means I am dead already.

You do the maths and make a decision, pick the lesser of two evils and you will know that the world is not perfect but it is beautiful because of it.

spunkbubble
13th November 2001, 08:43
That message, izchan, moved me, and you're all going to have to bear with me now because I feel like sharing my story... It might explain a few things some of you may... (or may not) have been wondering about, as well... :(

Last year, by a chance encounter, I met a man four years older than me - I was fifteen, and he was nineteen. We got along amazingly well - we wanted to spend as much time talking as we could - and we did... And in a very short time, this quickly turned to love. I know a lot of people are automatically going to proclaim 'Bullshit!' due to the fact I was only fifteen at the time...But it was real, and still is, and no matter what anybody says, my heart tells the truth...

We were complete. I loved him beyond doubt, beyond reason, I trusted him with my every emotion, my private thoughts and hopes and dreams. I sang to him. (Singing to people is a big thing for me - but I always had the courage to sing for him.)

Then, after close to a year of "us", he left me. It was a long distance relationship, and he could no longer handle that. I cried for three days straight. I live in a cloud of headaches, tears and feeling violently ill for 72 hours. I only slept when I collapsed from exhaustion, from crying, each night. Then, on the third day, we got back together. He regretted it, and I stopped crying. A month later, he left me again. This time it hit me hard, but I refused to let him see just how hard. I took my rage, and bitter hurt, out on him when he'd told me, and then afterwards acted as normally towards him as possible. A few months after that; he confessed he was regretting again what he'd done, he'd realised the mistake he'd made; he wanted me back... I told him I needed time to think things through; examine the situation; see if I could trust him again...

I considered it for two weeks. I loved him, but I was scared. Terrified of being hurt again. After those difficult two weeks, I came to the conclusion that I loved him; I had to trust him again; my love was too strong not to...
When I told him I wanted to try again, he told me he'd changed his mind - that it couldn't be... I guess he'd done a lot of thinking in those two weeks, as well...

In December, it will be a year since we first split up. And I still cry and I still miss him and I still feel so helpless and worthless about the situation.

But there's not a lot I can do...

Ugh, what a mess. I shouldn't have written all this. Now I'm in the mood from hell.

that sucks, to have your emotions toyed with like that. thats the knid of thing i'm afraid of. i have to play the hard guy type, but i'm really an emotional person. i dont want that kind of thing to happen to me and i'm afraid of what i'd do if did.

I tell myself I refuse to believe in love; but it isn't true. There's always hope; but underlying in that hope is a deep sense of sorrow.

Love sucks.

Hey people I stumbled across this forum awhile back. I finally read the last post this morning. This thread has made me laugh, cry, think hard enough to hurt my head, but it mostly made me smile. Seeing that there are others that share my so called bizarre ideas.

Oh and Spunkbubble hang in there. Things will get better, but then they'll get worse again. Then better, then worse, then better, then worse,etc.,etc.,etc. Life is an emotional roller coaster. Then again I've never been on an actual roller coaster.

Why would a 23 year old man want to date high school girls? I think you have some serious issues.
Also, any idiot can get a job, a car, and a cellular phone. Most women look for more than that. Things like personality and intelligence are much more significant, and it helps if your not a pedophile.

Dear Spunk ... ( I like to say dear someone when I talk to them)

For whatever it is worth. The guy is immature. You can forgive him the first time he made the mistake. You should give him the benefit of the doubt. But the truth is that, sometimes if the player strike twice, Which he did, there is no point in asking him or hoping that he will change for the better in the third time round, especially if he the decision was done in such a short period of time.

I know because once upon a time I was that jerk too.

It is like the same with your case, I was 18 to 19, feeling the top of the world, and worst, I do not know what the hell I want in life. A pretty girl came along, not too unlike yourself, 5'22, inteligent, funny and a temper of a 1957 locomotive. She makes me laugh and think of family life. If you ask me if I love her? My answer will still be yes, but the sad fact is that, that was never the issue, the issue was that I was too immature to know better.

When one is 19 and hormones are pumping, plus the sheer fact that now life seems to just have begun, being tied down to a single person just does not seem logical to me then. So I made one of my most fatal mistakes in my life's love stories. I told her that I wanted out and that we were heading seperated ways.

Now, I can almost hear her pleading with me not to do that to her, that she loved me with all her heart and wanted this to be forever. But the thing is that I really did not see it that way and told her that she should consider it. She left crying, and I left with a heavy heart.

2 weeks pass, and the normal ripple affect of a badly made decision comes haunting. Mind you we have only been together for 3 months, but it feels like eternity and I was already used to having her around nagging me at my attitude (that happends a lot). And one fine morning, after some badly done toast, I felt so lonely that I just went and see her, I told her how bad I feel and that I wanted to give it a try again. She said yes and gave me a fantastic kiss. That was my second biggest mistake.

Where was my mistake? I went back to her not because of my love for her, which was still there, but for the sheer fact that I felt lonely.
Loneliness does not give a strong bond to a relationship, it is like taking medicine for your headache, but you don't need it when the headache is gone. The same thing applies in this little story of mine. We kept with each other for the next 1 week or so, before my lonely syndrom dropped out of existence and I realized my mistake again.

So what do I do? I wrote her a letter and gave her a reason to hate me for life, which she still does, she hates me with the feary of a thousand suns, just to quote from the movie "10 things I hate about you", I told her a lie so that she will leave me for good. A lie that said that I fell in love with her because she reminded me of another girl that I could never have and that what we share was not real.

To you maybe I was cruel, which I no longer think so, but my action made her so angry at me that she left without saying a single word to me since (that applies to the present day).

The reason for the story? Simple, when you are with a person, do it for the right reason, do it because you feel the bond. The bond is a a two way thing. If for any reason you feel that it is no longer there, take a breath and make a decision. Decide to face it or ignore it. Facing with it comes with strength of characther and from a kind heart. Talk about it with the other partner, get some feedback. Then make your FINAL say on the matter and let it rest.

Because of my immaturity I have made someone I cared about suffer for no good reason. I still feel bad about the whole mess and wished that I could have solved it someother way. But like my title, even if things were different, it will still have the same outcome, I was young, I was immature and I am naive.

So take that part of your life where the tears come freely and live it the way that you would have, because it is part of growing up. I do not say that age is a factor of maturity, maturity comes from gainning wisdom. And wisdom comes from being able to experience things more than others. It is a learning thing, some most of the time, wisdom comes from being burn, pushes, shoved and kicked. You pick up the pieces and you go on.

So please don't think little of me after the confession I made above, but I felt the need to explain or even let you understand so that the pain can be bearable. And in time, you will learn to cry without feeling sad anymore, but cry you will still do ... because I know that I still cry too ....

Your's sincerely
Izchan

Ya know I could tell you some of the shit that I have been through and you people would look at me like "This guy is really messed up" and you would probably ask what I was on. Well during the time period I'm thinking of I was actually quite fucked up, but thats besides the point. During that time when I wasn't trippin on coricdin and even when I was I got hurt alot. MAybe not alot but it stuck with me. Bottom line women are just as diverse as guys. I have meet some really heartless people and some very sweet people two sisters that were related. Don't ever get involved with sisters. Its a real bad idea. I seem to have lost my point here . . . . . oh well I find it again later. Oh wait I found it. My point is both men and women really don't know what they want and as izchan made me realize that it takes expierence and wisdom to figure that out. Just don't go about it the way izchan did.

I totally agree with Blue zeal. Most of the time that we move around looking for answers, and it is a 50/50 chance of finding it.

Plus another thing, really try not to go about it the way I did. It hurts both ways and wastes alot of tissue paper during the crying process.

It's so damn frustrating. I just want to grab him and shake him and scream. Just scream and scream until I can't speak anymore. Scream until we both break down and cry, scream until he sees what he's doing is so wrong; scream until he bloody well sees what I see - Until he sees I am meant to be with him; and all the distance in the world won't ever change that. The time, the lies, the hurt, the denial; none of it will change a thing.

Isn't love meant to be worth everything? Isn't it worth sacrificing; and working hard for?

If I'm the smart and kind and beautiful girl he says I am; then what's so horribly wrong with me he won't be with me? If I am those things; why aren't we together? I'm not that girl, but it shouldn't matter, he told me he loved me and he always would; how can you turn your back on that?

I'm just raving...Ignore me, it doesn't matter...

"Gunning Down Romance" - Savage Garden

Love and other moments are just chemical reactions in your brain
And feelings of aggressions are the absence of the love drug in
Your veins
Love come quickly
Because I feel my self-esteem is caving in
It's on the brink
Love come quickly
Because I don't think I can keep this monster in
It's in my skin

Love and other socially acceptable emotions are morphine
They're morphine
Cleverly concealing primal urges often felt bur rarely seen
Rarely seen
Love I beg you
Lift me up into that privileged point of view
The world of two
Love don't leave me
Because I console myself that Hallmarkā„¢ cards are true
I really do

I'm gunning down romance
It never did a thing for me
But heartache and misery
Ain't nothing but a tragedy

Love don't leave me

Take these broken wings
I'm going to take these broken wings
And learn to fly
And learn to fly away
And learn to fly away

I'm gunning down romance

"Have You Ever" - Brandy

Have you ever loved somebody so much
It makes you cry
Have you ever needed something so bad
You can't sleep at night
Have you ever tried to find the words
But they don't come out right
Have you ever, have you ever

Have you ever been in love
Been in love so bad
You'd do anything to make them understand
Have you ever had someone steal your heart away
You'd give anything to make them feel the same
Have you ever searched for words to get you in their heart
But you don't know what to say
And you don't know where to start

Have you ever loved somebody so much
It makes you cry
Have you ever needed something so bad
You can't sleep at night
Have you ever tried to find the words
But they don't come out right
Have you ever, have you ever

Have you ever found the one
You've dreamed of all your life
You'd do just about anything to look into their eyes
Have you finally found the one you've givin your heart to
Only to find that one won't give their heart to you
Have you ever closed your eyes and
Dreamed that they were there
And all you can do is wait for that day when they will care

Have you ever loved somebody so much (so much)
It makes you cry (makes you wanna break down and cry)
Have you ever needed something so bad (so, so bad)
You can't sleep at night
Have you ever tried to find the words
But they don't come out right
Have you ever, have you ever (ever, ever)

What do I gotta do to get you in my arms baby
What do I gotta say to get to your heart
To make you understand how I need you next to me
Gotta get you in my world
'Coz baby I can't sleep

Have you ever loved somebody so much (so much)
It makes you cry
Have you ever needed something so bad
You can't sleep at night
Have you ever tried to find the words
But they don't come out right
Have you ever, have you ever

Have you ever loved somebody so much
It makes you cry
Have you ever needed something so bad
You can't sleep at night (just can't sleep at night)
Have you ever tried to find the words
But they don't come out right (dont come out, oh)
Have you ever, have you ever (ever, ever)

Love is worth fighting for hon <if it is a healthy relationship>. You are a very beautiful girl, and from your words here <and poems> you have an extremely kind heart. There is NOTHING wrong with you. It was just not ment to be for the both of you.

Please dont take this as wrong, but I think if you saw a councelor or psy. it would help you release your feelings and get a better perspective of the situation. DO NOT feel bad about yourself, do not kill your self esteem because of a relationship that did not work out. Words are shallow, actions are what count. He was a player, and told you what you wanted to hear. My heart aches for you sweetie. Just know people do care about you.

it helps to talk to a nutral person, it helps alot, maybe 1 or 2 visits and youd be fine.

IMHO you dont want him back, it will never be what it was, just rember what you had be happy learn and grow from it.

Spunkbubble you are an incredibly wonderful person.
I have no doubt you will find someone who wiil fill your heart with song.
Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but one day for sure.

Now forgive me for being blunt...
But this guy is not the one.
He plays you and will continue to play you as long as you let him.
And as long as you let him play with your emotions you'll be miserable.
And he knows it.
Let him go. And don't let him come back no matter what he promises.
He's already proven he can't remain true.
Hold your head up high.
Get on with your wonderful life.

I know it's easier said than done.
It's easier for me to sit here and say this
than it is for you to do.
But I have faith in you...and no matter what I'm proud of you.
Be strong.

Spunk bubble it's as simple as this. The guy is selfish. HE plays with you like a yoyo. It's fair to you. I'm in a similiar relationship with my ex. She says she still loves me and she can't seem to let go. I have always left people with a good impression on people. . . well most people. Maybe someday you will see that

10 things being a single is good.
--------------------------------
10. You get to do what you want without asking for permission
9. Sleep without having you being told how late it is
8. Get to keep all the ice cream to yourself
7. Do not need to always keep the toilet seat up
6. Can go to movies without planning 2 weeks before hand
5. Have more time to spend with your pet (mine is a dog)
4. Listen to Bon Jovi without being told that he is not that an artist. (which i disagree)
3. Watch David letterman and laugh when he is giving our feminist jokes.
2. Able to finsih a lunch/dinner within 15 minutes

.... and the number 1 reason

1. Able to surf FORUMS without being told that I am spending my time in an ungainly manner (which I disagree as well)

Spunk,
You are 15 years old, you have one of the loveliest smiles I have ever seen (based on the pictures I have seen so far), you have energy abundant(look back at the dancing posts), You have a body that most man will kill for (also based on the picture that I have seen so far) and last but not least ... you are a human being. You feel things and you express them well.

I don't need to tell you how good you are, you already know.

If it is the comfort of friends you seek, you have it more than I do in this physical world, because the people in this forum adores you.

If you just need to be love then I can tell you one thing ...

I LOVE YOU ....

why? because your postings in this forum made me forget about all the problems in my own life and focused on you and the others. It is not something grand or noble but it is something that makes me want to be a better person, and you are part of the reason why I wanted to be so.

So remember ...

When there is no one around
and you are feeling down
just look over your shoulder
and you will see
You are never alone
For there is always you inside of me

Take heart ... and live life ...
Enjoy every minute because you will never know when things will all end the next second.

I learned something today. When in the laundry room next to a cute woman and she starts taking to you by saying "That is a lot of bleach you are adding." The proper response is not "Not with the stains in my underwear."

Greatest thing since sliced bread???? Is this as far as society has come? Sliced bread is a great thing???!!! What about the internet? What about cell phones? I mean come on take a knife a slice the damn thing, it isnt that hard!!!! greatest thing since sliced bread is a figure of speech, man
it's a way of saying that something is GREAT b/c when sliced bread first appeared it was a time saver, you didn't have to slice your own pieces anymore

and i agree about hte 23 year olds dating younger girls
i have a friend, his roommate is 23, and is currently dating a 15 year old not only is it illegal, but it really makes you think something about this guy

when i was 18 my girfriend was 24, i was in bars at 15 with a fake id and taking home well...to their home girls 21+ the whole fact about young girls is they are usaly just that young fresh and well...dumb when it comes to day to day things a normal adult has to make choices on (playfull, good or bad). so its more a catagory then a thing thats law or something you can base hard facts to say such things as she must be dumb or hes a looser (which is probaly the case most times) however if you gotta date a girl whos 15 when your 23, your probley not any more adult then she. elvis and jerry lee lewis to name a few did the same thing, in mexico its very common, which goes the saying to each their own, well i had my own when i was young, these girls probley fell the same way? however i would never do such a thing now, (go out with a young girl) but when i was 18...man i had the whole range 16 to 25, if i can be mature enough to make a girl belive i was 21 why cant a girl? its dumb but it is america and it is a choice they are alowed to make. normaly in most states 16 is consent, but in some if she was under 18 and you were over and she just had her shoes of in your car thats grounds to go to jail.

Excuse me, but I'm 16 (17 in February), and I don't consider myself to be a girl only a desperate person would want. At least, I hope I'm not that girl.

Think outside the square you live in, guys - age is a number. What's a number? Is it important?

I'm sick of people thinking that just because I'm sixteen, I can't handle things. I'm not a baby. And a twenty-three year old isn't a loser for going out with a seventeen-year-old. Ever stop to think maybe he loves her for who she is?

Age doesn't define who you are. It's a label. And labels are almost always wrong.

izchan

Ah ... guys ... being a guy that dates older girls for quite sometime now I don't know what the fuss is about.

I mean .. you go out have fun ... you see someone you like ... you spend time with them. It so happends that they are like 10 years older than you (more or less) ... does not make much difference other than your own personal preference.

I like older girls because I like the attention they give me, not that the younger ones dont love me, it is just that after the things that they have gone through ... older girls tend to take me more seriously than a younger one. It is just a compantiblity issue.

But then there are acceptions, I have a relationship once with a girl 5 years younger than me, she was like 19 then, but she speaks like a 30 year old (as in years not age) world veteran, the reason because she came from a broken home and the entire family rested on her decision making skills. She made me so comfortable with myself, I could not help but fell in love with her. We dated for like 1 1/2 years before we broke up, the reason because she and I both lived in different parts of the world, and I could not be there for her when she needed a shoulder.

Anyway ... the fact that the 23 year old and the 16-7 year old thing does not need or should be an issue, it is preference as well as a phase that people need to experiece.

Haven't you once had a crush for a teacher or a junior before?

It is the same thing ... it is just part of growing up ... feel lucky that you can have the chance because there are some I know that will never know the feeling ... that is another story for some other time ...

Spunk: Brisbane huh ... I have not been there b4 but if I do go down to Aussie ... I will give you a buzz ... I spend most of my time in Melbourne because I had a business partner there ... that was from my previous job ... :)

take it easy guys ... just take the words as it is ... words.

izchan
19th November 2001, 03:35
The girl I mentioned is 3 years younger ... not 5 ... the one that is 5 years is the one older than me ... :) ..

My current girl is like 3 years older than me ... so ... you go figure.

Age is not a decision point .. the wisdom is in knowing the difference.

if your a girl age 16 and your dating a guy age 23, there is something wrong with one of you, and it doesnt have to be a bad thing, though most times it is, my point: if your needing the level of companionship from a 23yr old male youve read thru or skipped a few chapters in lifes little book a little too early to need to be at that level.

you maybe very mature in speech and in action, but you dont know anything about rent, cars, babies, protected sex  , insurance, living away from home, bars (that is huge :D ) being able to buy cigs or booze. ETC...those things no matter how small you think they are have lots to do with the way you are.
the age level (or number) of exp wich is used like a ruler to say when you can drive a car buy cigs and booze is based on that curve.
when they think the average of ages has all become mature enough you are givin that privilege.
now dont reply to this and give me some example of how im wrong, because i know theres lots of prove me wrongs living life out there right now, i know i was one of em, you know what i got for it?
SHIT ABSOLUTE SHIT....yup SHIT...you know why? because i was head strong to show the whole world how mature i was and how much shit i could handle how fast i could grow up. well i grew up fast, yup realy fast, had a good time to, just wish i could remember all of it. i have seen it all, ive seen alot of this subject, its never turned out good.
the most important thing you can do at a young age is to try and stay young and learn about it as long as you can, because if you dont youll always wish you had.
good night

spunkbubble

I'm not going to say you're wrong - In our own ways, we are all right. Our opinions on this subject has to do with what we have seen, and what we think we know. The truth is, for every rule, there is an exception. Always, without a doubt.
I know I have grown up probably faster than I should have - and perhaps I still am. But I haven't lost the ability to be "young". I can still be a kid, I can still muck around, I can still be silly and giggly.
It's easy to say "I've been there", when you're older, but, no, you haven't been where I'm at. Only people my age have. Times change. I'm sure it's very different being sixteen to what it was when the thirty year old man down the street was sixteen - it's constantly changing. What we want, what's expected of us, and our emotions all change.

Is my generation suffering the most? I believe so. But then, I haven't experienced anybody else's, so I don't know that. I do know the pressure is heavy, and it's easy to buckle.

What I do know is that age is a label, nothing more. Next time a twelve year old tries telling you something; try listening. Really listening. You never know - that "kid" could just be right. Don't dismiss young people - some of us might deserve it, but not all of us. I'm just saying, give us a chance; ignore the age gap. It's a label, and as I said before, labels are almost always wrong.

I'm not trying to change your point of view or force you to say I'm right - I'm just telling you what I believe.

Do you know what? I agree with him ... go DJ ... :)

If you need to do it, then maybe you should ... but the thing is that don't do it because people say you can't. Being rebelious could be fun, and it usually is dangerous.

If you are young then try and be young. If you are old ... :) .. then you can still try to be young, you don't need to do it with a 16 year old ... :) ... you do it with someone you are compatible with. If that person is 16 then ... 16 it is ... :)

As I said before ... age is not the key point .. wisdom lies in knowing the difference.

Simple things
----------------------------------------
If only life was that simple
Where we do things because it is right
Where you can say what you think
Where people take you for you and not what they imagine

Yet that is what life can be
if we open our hearts a little more
Just by saying I love you
could save the boy or girl next door

What a shame it will be
if people become living zombies
By the book, to the letter ... so it seems
the rebelious youth gone with the wind
Left an empty husk of the former being

Live again, my fellow friends
Laugh again to the trival things
Take a chance and say it loud
I will not ever give in
I will be me and that is it
Sometimes that is all that it takes
Just to be me again ...
Just to be free

izchan,
That is a beautiful poem. I printed it out.

As far as age and dating goes: <my opinion only>.

You go through many different stages in life. You will realize this when you get older, but in your teens you go through alot of physical changes with growing, not just physically but mentally as well. Being a teenager is tough, I would not want to do it again. You are triing to find a place in your family, but you want the independence that comes with growing up. There is alot of peer pressure to "fit in" to the right social circles (which you will realize later that is all a bunch of bs).

Then you hit your 20s. You enter a whole new world. You become that much less dependent on your family and more on yourself. You either continue with school, get a job, start a family of your own, ect... You dont have mom and dad looking over your shoulder every 10 seconds anymore. Life is fun! You can party when you want, and do what you want.

Then you get close to your 30's and you start to get more serious about things. Life is not a big party anymore, you settle down some, and start to enjoy life for the simpler things.

---------------------------------

I do agree that age is just a number, and people to mature at different rates, however, life is full of different stages. A person that is 16 does not fully understand the stages that a person in their 20's is going through. I dont think it would be fair to cheat a 16 year old out of being a kid and going through their teenage years by thrusting them into the world of a young adult.

On the other hand, once you hit your late 20's + it all seems to blend together more. I have had serious relationships with guys in their late 30's to early 40's and find we have so much in common, yet if I took the same age difference, and say I was 16 and they were 26 it would seem we were from 2 different worlds.

Sorry if this does not make much sence, I was up realllllllly late working last night.

Wow.../me is honored by Missy once again.
I don't know how or why I deserve such honor.

But just for you Miss Missyob, I found these lyrics from the Beatles,
from a song they wrote a long time ago:

Before this dance is through
I think I'll love you too
I'm so happy when you dance with me
I don't want or need to hold your hand
Well it's only to try and understand
'cause there's really nothing I would rather do
'cause I'm happy just to dance with you

I don't need to kiss or hold you tight
I just want to dance with you all night
In this world there's nothing I would rather do
'cause I'm happy just to dance with you
Just to dance with you
It's everything I need

Before this dance is through
I think I'll love you too
I'm so happy when you dance with me
If somebody tries to take my place
Let's pretend we just can't see his face
In this world there's nothing I would rather do
'cause I'm happy just to dance with you
Just to dance with you
It's everything I need

I am honored that you like it missy ... will post more poems when my heart comes about with it.

and your posting nailed it straight.

Was having a major discussion about beliefs over at the other thread, and it just dawned on me how similar these two threads area about.

Both thread talks about different subjects but it all share a common goal ... to achieve an understanding with ourself and what we want in life.

if you read books by authors like steven covey, you will know that people are constantly struggling to make sense of their life.

The reason why this thread started was because someone wanted to make that reason to be 'relationship with girls' and did not have much success in it.

People have found love in their lives in many different ways.
some use words (like me) ... some use numbers (like me also) ... some use alcohol and drugs (makes the world look better in their eyes) ...

putting all these post on the forum have really given me a chance to sort out my thinking.

Making me think about the priority in which I live my life in.

Making me live again ...

Thank you all for the chance ...

Back in our days of smoking
we took a hookah pipe similar to this one,
but we replaced the bowl with one a whole lot bigger.
Then we took of the mouthpieces and replaced them with gas masks
that you strapped to your face.
You then filled the bowl up, put on the gas mask,
sat back and just breathed normally.
After a short time, it was impossible to sit.
So you laid back and then...off you went...I think...

Firstly, I'll have you all know that if us ladies knew y'all sat around and referred to us as.... what was it again??? Oh yes, "the downfall of society"... you'd ALL be out a hell of a lot of poon-tang, an then where would you be?

Now as for any kind of advice, Denzil- You're a funny guy and you like women. That's all you need in this world when it comes to girls. Take it from one of them. All we look for in guys is someone who can make us laugh, and someone who'll pursue us. That's it, and you've got both. The problem is though, girls can't *SEE* a good personality or sense of humor from across the room. If girls are going out to pick up some men, of course, we're GOING to be scoping for the ones who are easy on the eyes....it's the way human nature works. But, it doesn't mean those are the ones we end up talking to all night.
The ones we end up leaving with are the ones who show us they can offer us a good time. DJ Roach ab XGN are totally right. Show them you're confident and we'll want to know what the hell makes YOU so confident. If you like you, we like you. Make a girl laugh and your hers. Make her laugh AND feel pretty and she's yours.

Trust me.;)

Firstly, I'll have you all know that if us ladies knew y'all sat around and referred to us as.... what was it again??? Oh yes, "the downfall of society"... you'd ALL be out a hell of a lot of poon-tang, an then where would you be?

Here, I zipped it for you... Which actually took ages, I have a slow computer and about 1000 fonts, hehe :). ;)
And at first I did the wrong thing and told it to find me a .zip file instead of making a new one *rolls eyes at self* :p
My computer hates open my Fonts folder :D .

Ahh, it won't let me zip it. :(

*kicks font*

Okay I guess it'll work if I put it in a new folder and just zip the whole folder...

Yay it worked!

Here you go :) .

Ow! That was a nice ride. To bad it's over.
Excellent site spumkbubble.
Well people with every plus there is a minus. I just found out at work today that a friend of mine just did himself in. This seems to have affected most of the town and even the weather. It's freezing here. Anyway I simply what to ask you to pray for the soul of Josh Sparks. He was a good kid. I was driving aruond with him this weekend. Isn't it weird how they always seem perfectly fine before they do something like that?

rest in peace josh, i hope you find in the after life what you could not find on earth.
