I have tried tons of plugins to try to allow myself more quick access to the basic winamp controls.. but each one had some disadvantages.. but then I just found this thing on betanews. It has the basic controls (customizable) in the window title bar of your current active window. I've been using it for a few hours now, and love it.

Did you try MikroAMP (http://www.skinmaster.co.uk/mikroamp)?

It can do that, but only one button on the titlebar (that can do all actions). If you did and didn't like it, what didn't you like? I'm working on a new version right now.

RFL, the plugin that you are using is called Winampbar, and it has been available on the winamp website for quite a while now.

It is a nice little plugin, and I've been using it myself for quite a while. However, the earlier versions are pretty buggy (conflicts with Internet Explorer, etc) so make sure that you get an up to date version.
