hi there

we are using AVS for live-videoshows in various
clubs and drum&bass parties around munich.
(www.pliction.com for pictures)
first... avs is the best i´ve seen for doing
videoshows... and there is not much i would change
but there´re some little things that could make it perfect
(for our use)
1. when you make 2 or more presets using the same avi file
and you change to another preset
avs goes back to windowed-moded and shows an error box
"an error occured while trying to open a file"
best thing would be, to be able to use the same avi
in different presets...
if this is not possible... it would reach out to be
able to switch of the error box... for preventing
avs to switch to windowed mode.
2. we want use avs on two screens.. one for the video-
beamer and one for a monitor... to control the presets
and effects. we allready tested it.. and it works fine
our problem: when we are on the control monitor...
we´re not able anymore to change the presets by keyboard
cause the avs video-window has to be "clicked" for the
keyboard to work. í have some ideas how to solve the
"problem". first.. a little button that activates
the video-window. or a possibility to change presets
in the main avs configuration window. well... we could do
this over the allready existing "load preset" function
=) but we´re using it live... and want to change the
presets to the beat. a big "button-field" would be cool
where you can asign a preset to any of the buttons =)

Didn´t you think of making a commercial product of AVS ? =)
(Think i would pay for it) ;)
or a standalone program with enhanced line in support
for vj´s ?
however.. it´s the best i´ve ever seen

keep rockin...

Great! In addition though I'd like to see something of a direct video out - possibly specific to say an ATI TV card or a Firewire DV out. This would avoid a lot of the delays in display processing for the AVS don't you think?

For instance, when one makes the plugin full-screen, it's goodbye speed of processing.
