Hi,
I've set my ListenerTimer to 60 minutes and people don't seem to be disconnected. We only have 32 streams and they're mostly full so we want to trim people hourly.
Alternatively, if people are disconnected, are they really disconnected or just sort of shook up?
Thanks in advance,
Brent

Questions we must ask...
Did you make sure to uncomment that field?
Did you restart the shoutcast server after making these changes?
Are you sure you filled in the field with the right type data.. I thought it was in seconds.
and yes.. they are disconnected.. their winamp goes *poof* and the speakers make the most annoying sound you have ever heard. Then a demonic voice comes over saying "OBEY YOUR MASTER, YOUR LIFE BURNS FASTER" and the speakers fry. or atleast thats what happens to me. =)

Wow,
Thanks for the rapid response.
Yes indeed, the line was uncommented and the 600 changed to 60. It says minutes in the conf file.
The restart was admittedly of somewhat questionable quality. It's *nix and sent a SIGHUP.
I've since given the whole computer a hard reboot and restarted the server.
Not realizing that for test purposes 5 minutes would have been as good as 60 I'm currently closing in on my last 20 minutes of wait to see if it works.
The absolute death part is good or at least it's the desired outcome.
Verification that I'm not wasting my time trying to achieve the unachievable was what I was after ( and any obvious bits like setting AutoDumpUser or something)
Thanks very much,
Brent
