I tried doing this a while ago, and failed miserably: The cursors on my skin, Aquid are all semi transparent. There's a grid of transparent pixels like a chess board on them. I always wondered what it would look like if someone did this in the region.txt. I mean, I did about a 6*6 square of a skin, but it's soooo tedious. If anyone has enough spare time (too much) or is just plain masochistic, why not try it? Then put it up here for everyone to Ctrl-C Ctrl-V!

i had to read that about a hundred times to understand it... that would take a long while to do
Do I understand you right? You want to make a semi-transparent winamp? This would be A LOT OF work...
Maybe it's easier to use a transparency maker, I don't use them, I take the coordinates from PSP and write the region.txt by hand.
If you want to understand how it works...look here http://www.crosswinds.net/~winampnflskins/Nochange/Trans/org/org.html , it's nullsoft's documentation that can be found in the official U2 skin.
use skinmaster. its great for making transparencies. it'll save you a lot of work. see thread called "making transparencies" for a link.
