I thought Mr. Geiss might like to know how Milkdrop is running on different platforms. So post some specs if you like. Here's mine:

32 x 640 x 480 ~ 28 fps
32 x 800 x 600 ~ 28 fps
32 x 1024 x 768 ~ 20 fps

Sounds like a good idea to give some help, here?s my Milkdrop specs (on a Celeron 667, 128MB)

Milkdrop ver. 0.99d
Render Mode: Fullscreen
Monitor: don't use multimon
Texture size: Auto
Mesh size: 24x18
Max FPS: unlimited

16 x 320 x 240 ~ 28 fps
16 x 640 x 480 ~ 22 fps
16 x 800 x 600 ~ 20 fps
16 x 1024 x 768 ~ 11 fps
16 x 1280 x 1024 ~ 7 fps
16 x 1600 x 1200 ~ video card can?t do

Render Mode: Desktop Mode, my desktop is 800x600x16 (using overlays)
(all other settings as above)

quarter resolution ~ this comes up as a jumbled mess on my computer?.
half resolution ~ 17 fps
full resolution ~ 7 fps

My system: Celeron 667 MHz, 66 MHz FSB, 128 MB PC-100 SDRAM, 8MB Intel 810E Video card, Win98 SE, MSIE 5.50.4134.0600, Active Desktop off, Desktop resolution: 800x600x16

For some reason, I can?t seem to choose 32-bit resolution, perhaps this is due to my video card?

Another thing, is anyone else having to minimise Winamp to stop it flickering through MilkDrop? I have Winamp 2.76 and still have this problem..

Any suggestions?

At full screen I get about 30 frames a second no matter what. It depends on the preset though, some will slow down a bit at 1920x1440x32, but usually its 30 frames a second. Actually, if I run the slowest mesh size I sometimes get a slowdown, but the slow setting works great. I don't really want to get more detailed than that cause I'm more than happy, although it runs shittily as a background (possibly because I run my desktop at 1600x1200).

Hmmm, text in the window seems to affect the fps for a great deal. I get 19fps in a 800x600 window, but when i disable showing fps, it runs a LOT smoother. Weird...
