Giess,
First of all Milkdrop is the Best AVS ever, you are indeed the most talented AVS developer ever! Having said that, is it possible to have options for display song title, and time settings via checkbox in the configuration setup area. Pressing F2 once, and F3 twice every time I open Milkdrop is quite annoying, especially since I use a remote to control Winamp.
Secondly, How come no SONG TITLE effects like in the original Geiss? You know, where the song title would pop up and fade...I loved that feature! I miss it, but won't go back.
Other than those 2 things...Milkdrop is awesome and you deserve a good ol' pat on the back and a huge THANK YOU!

Yep, Geiss is the king :-)
Anyway, yeah, it would be a good idea to not have to press F2/F3 etc. each time you go in, perhaps you could put an Advanced Options button like you did in Geiss, where you could just have checkboxes for those items you wanted (eg. if you wanted just the title, or the title & framerate, you could do this all at once rather than having to do it over and over each time you restarted Milkdrop...
And yes, I kind of miss the song title effects too.. it is good to have them down the bottom (you should keep this option in too), but they look so much cooler when they are melded into the effects.
One other thing.. could *anyone* who has made any presets post some to the board (there is only 3 or 4 on that board), please post some more, I want to try some more out!
And one other thing (slightly off topic, but anyway) - what do you mean a remote control for Winamp? What are they and how do you get them??

A surprising amount of presets are being worked on at the moment by people but for me I am waiting for version .99e to arrive with the progress variable in the preset and (actually mainly) for the weekend so I can do some work on it.
For a point of interest I have registered http://www.milkdrop.co.uk today (.com had gone and I am from England) and I intend this site to be for MD presets but I will put a post up later for this. In fact I will write one now under a new header.
Cheers,
John

Another added feature....
Just like above...but the SCROLL LOCK key feature (LOCK PRESET) as an allways on option as well. Other than what I mentioned, Milkdrop rules for us remote people. I have no problem controlling it at all, unlike WVS.
OFF TOPIC:
Remote Control of Winamp? Well, check out http://www.girder.nl for the best source of information. Basically, you just hook up an IR Reciever to your serial port and use an IR repeater to remote control winamp from afar. I have a video card that allows out to TV, so basically, I sit in my living room and via out to tv, use WINAMP to control the playlist (large fonts thank god!) and have the ability to watch the visuals on my TV using MILKDROP and the sound is put out from my home sterio. It really is awesome and a must if you want the convienance of Mp3's instead of bulky cd's....The best part, unlike cds where you just see the track number, you can actually see what song name your selecting and playing on your tv! Right now it's a novelty...but pretty soon, everyone will be using it. It beats CDs and Radio without a doubt!

Are you sure you have version 0.99d as Mr Geiss says:
-------
-fixed a bug with scroll lock (didn't reset the LED state when MilkDrop started)
-------
for the latest version.
Hope it all helps
