today i clicked on the anime section by accident, and found that my skin (ci-xi) is on the very first page with a 4 and a half star count... in about 6 hours, i've recieved about 3,500 downloads... this system does have some benefits

Damn, Keetah, my Mystik skin hasnt even reached that many downloads in total. Well, congrats on having a skin that kicks ass. ;)

Cool. I got one skin that has about 3,100 downloads, while another just got published recently (in fact, last time I checked, it only got 4 downloads). The first one was even just an experiment in skinning. The links to them are in my sig, in case anyone wants to check them out.

Wow, congrats... One day, I opened up http://www.1001winampskins.com to find that 3,000 downloads had miraculously appeared within twelve hours... I was stunned. Of course, the winamp people haven't bothered to review it yet, so I'm still waiting. :) Anyways, I'll check it out.

Hehe, cool Keeta. :D It's amazing what 4.5 will do for you. Bojanglez bumped an old one of mine up to that just to see what happens, and it went from 15 to 1600. Quite interesting how things work.

Anyway, congrats on moving up. It was on page 3 or 4 the other day. Kewl. :D :D

Congrats. Don't wanna rain on your parade though, but be braced for some frustrated little dork in Abu-Dabi to discover your 4 1/2er and bomb it into the ether with a comment like "Wow this sux I could do bedder with wun hand tide behind my bak" Hopefully it won't happen to you, but it seems to be the growing trend lately.

I thought that a few weeks ago someone (I think TheMike) was implying that at least some small, executable changes WERE going to be made to the review system... :( Guess not

3500 in 6 day's? croq takes 18 days to get 3500 dl's at the current download rate.

Scooby was at the top of the movie and TV sections for a while there. I dind't mind much. :) Jayn said the review panel was getting close, but you didn't hear that from me. ;)
