Hi everybody
I have recently downloaded all the software needed from the SHOUTcast site in order to run a server and broadcast live program from my wifes small local radio station here in Sweden. I have followed instructions as described and actually successfully was able to broadcast a wave file that I had on my computer by runing the server and the just open the file through winamp. Now, the problems comes when I want to do the same thing with the live radio program which comes in to my computer through the radio hooked up on the line-in jack of the sound card. since there isn't a file that I can open I dont know how to make winamp to read it. I have installed the netshow stuff that was recomended but all I got there was an ASF file which the winamp can't read...or can it?

Thanks in advance
Arti

Microsoft DirectX 8.0 with DirectShow Microsoft® DirectShow® should provide you with a high-quality capture and playback of multimedia streams. It will support a wide variety of formats (including WAV, MPU). I'll put up instuctions on my website tommorow sunday (7/8/2001). IT will have illustrations.

arti,
There are two ways to do this with SHOUTcast. The easiest would probably to be to used Advanced mode and set the device in your recording mixer to the linein. Or you can use the linerec:// plugin which you have to download and have the DSP in regular mode.
