i've been recording music on my computer and i just decided to get shoutcast to stream some stuff to a friend of mine. I don't know if this is a problem with the recording program i use, N-Track Studio, shoutcast, or a conflict between the 2, but the problem just arose when i used shoutcast. I checked all the sound levels, made sure things weren't muted, checked the recording sound levels,i've changed the recording device, too. nothing works, i still can't record, but i can stream fine. any help would be great.

A smart thing to do is allow SHOUTcast do the recording. In Winamp Hit Ctrl+P to open the preferences menu and activate the SHOUTcast Plug-in and Click Configure in the preferences window. Then Select "Save Broadcast in" and choose a directory to save it to. Then that way you have an archive of what you broadcast.

To offer the archives on website, Check out my On-Demand Audio (http://on-demandaudio.*************) Developers Section for adding it to a Website archive. If you need more help, duanejeffers1@earthlink.net, email me.

Heya, I'm having the same problem. I've looked for the shoutcast plugin but its not there (I'm listening to shoutcast though, isn't it integrated into the new versions of winamp and not a plugin anymore?), can you tell me where to get the plugin please? Thanx.

Check out http://www.shoutcast.com/download/broadcast.phtml
and Download the SHOUTcast Source for Winamp v 1.8.0

Is there any way to record to a file a broadcast you are listening to?

To record a Shoutcast stream, use the DSP Savecast plug-in
