Help with shoutcast [Archive]

For some reason, the sound quality on my shoutcast cannot go beyond 56 kb/s.
I use a SB live sound card so im positive i can go higher than just that.
Can someone help me on how i can change this so that i can broadcast on a higher quality?

It's that you are using the wcodec. The free one only goes up to 56kbps, iy you want the better codec you are going to have to pay. Try Oddcast, it uses LAME which is free and can encode at highr bitrates.
