Hi,
I hope someone is willing to help me. I am trying to start a SHoutcast server on our internal LAN, for testing purposes.
I have downloaded all the software that is needed according to the "I want to be a DJ" page on shoutcast. I'm running the DSP Server on the same machine as WInamp. I Have installed the Netshow components. I have looked under my control panel/Multimedia/Devices. The correct COdecs are installed, but still I get the "Error opening ACM stream" Error. This is driving me up the wall.
Furthermore, if I log to the IP where the Shoutcast server is running via my browser, it keeps on telling me that the server is offline. Is this because there is no stream going to the server ? Or is it because of another error ?
Running Windows 98, Intel PIII550 on a 100baseT Network.
256Mb RAM.
