I get the following error message when I try to run Milkdrop (the plug-in doesn't actually start):

"Plug-in executed illegal operation. Restart of Winamp is recommended(1)."

I've tried changing my display settings to no avail. Could it be my video card? - I't a couple years old, although I've regularly updated the driver. It's an S3 Savage4 GT (16 MB). Time for an upgrade I guess.

The first time I ran milkdrop it crashed with this exact same error, (started it by double clicking the spectrum analyzer), I closed winamp, ctrl-shift k ran the plugin and it worked fine. Double clicking to run it works fine now too.

Dont -ever- use the 'report post to moderators' as a way to get tech support. Ever.

I get the same error you get, but I get it whenever I try to do anything, I can't open the Config dialog, I can't run the VIS, Milkdrop just doesn't like my computer.
