Ahhhh Apache, How I love thee?????
Hmmm could the Code Red Virus have been started by Kyle's Shoddy Coding?????? :)
+ Code Red is real. It's actually a virus that has laid dormant in the webservers of some virus/ScRiPt kIdDiE website for a while. When the time came around for it to spawn, It did. The only problem is (for the worm makers of the Virus), the worm has memory residence (this means that it resides in the memory) filling up your resources, and since memory is RAM or Random Access Memory and is able to be deleted, once you shut off the computer/webserver and then turn it back on, the worm is gone. But for some web-developers, they want all their content viewed, even if it means their computer or even the destruction of their website.

2) CodeRed only effects Windows boxes running unpatched ISS with Indexing
Apache/1.3.14 Server at forums.winamp.com Port 80
Check the bottom of: http://forums.winamp.com/images/ :D
3) Now in theory the forums could have been slowed by the search, but once again see #1
4) The forums are always slow, regardless :D I wasn't really talking about the forums being slow, this was more in response to the article on the main page.

I beg to differ. When that sucker hit Michigan, the ISP I work had a good majority of their 20k+ customers calling in because of the lag.
