Help for a technophobe

Please someone, help me. I was drawn into this vortex by some evil force, but now that I'm here I need some help. Can someone please explain to me how, if at all, WINAMP and SHOUTCast work together. When I first downloaded WINAMP. I had SHOUTcast available and WINAMP and SHOUTcast were linked together so that when I made a music selection in SHOUTcast, that selection title was displayed in the WINAMP window and the mini browser. Now, the link between my WINAMP window and SHOUTcast has been broken...I have also lost the mini-browser window altogether. Please advise.

Preferences (Ctrl-P) > Srtup > Filetypes > Make sure MP3, PLS, and M3U are selected.

Alt+T for minibrowser

Or main menu -> checkmark "minibrowser"

Main menu accessible via:
1) rt click anywhere in Winamp
2) Alt+F in main window
3) Left click top left corner icon (main window)
4) Rt click taskbar icon -> Winamp -> . . . .

Thanks for your suggestions...I set my preferences per your suggestions sawg. I also managed to get the minibrowser up...thanks DJEgg!

Now I am able to select music, however, there is still no active linkage between my SHOUTcast selection and the WINAMP windows...rather, when I make my musical selection, it appears that my system is playing it thru RealPlayer since that is the window that is opened as a result of my selection...any further suggestions would be greatly appreciated
