I'm not quite sure if this is the right forum but here goes..

I'm currently using the SQR Advanced Crossfader plugin. It's the best I've found so far, but I can't seem to get it do do exactly what I want.

I listen to a lot of electronic music and I'd like an overlap in my crossfading (new song comes in while old song's still playing). I find it just sounds better that way. I've tried fiddling with the crossfader's configs but can't quite get it to work.

Could someone please either refer me to the right forum or thread, or tell me how to do it if it's possible....

thanks a bundle!

I'd like a crossfading plugin that can actually mix two traks together. overlaying them for a brief period at the mix-point you could say.

Either that or a way to configure sqr advanced crossfader to do this.

thanks

That should be possible with the SQR Advanced Crossfader plugin.

Go to the Crossfade tab and at both fade in and out the time to 100% and level to 0%.

Set the buffer to a higher % to make the crossfade longer.

Thanks a lot, that is almost what I'm looking for. I'd still like themix to be a little longer.

I put the prebuffer % to 90, but is there any other setting I can modify to elongate the mix? would more blocks help? Am I just asking for too much?

I love crossfading - It's in Winamp3 - I'm using it... ;)

Transformer,

I also use SQR Advanced crossfader. Here's some tips:

The total amount of time songs are mixed is decided by you in the "mixing buffer length". Max is 16 seconds.

That said, further configurations will increase/decrease this time. Most importantly, there is an option on the Crossfade tab that says "Crossfade when signal reaches". That option will engage the mix only when a song fades to that decibel level. If a song never fades out on its own, then the mix won't engage and the songs will simply play back-to-back.

Like you, I perfer a long mix, so I uncheck that option to have songs crossfade regardless of how they end.

There are other settings that will help -- if those suggested don't give you what you need, give a holler.

That's a great plugin -- my thanks to the author.

Regards,

Keith
