Ok, i just have one question, why is it that whenever i open up a bmp file from the winamp base thing that i downloaded, i can only use the colours that are already in the picture, it wont let me use anything else, i have tried it in paint shope pro, and in ms paint. I have tried other files and they work fine, but even when i extract bmp files from other skins that i have, the same thing happens, i can only use the colours that are on that skin.

If anyone knows how to fix this please tell me, i am dieing here.

They are 16 color bitmaps. (Some of the ones in the baseskin are anyways.) Use one of your graphics programs to convert them.

and i do that how?

lets say, using paint shop pro, do you have any idea?

you know what, never mind, i figured it out, i just switch it to jpg, then finish it, then switch it back to bmp, kinda stupid, but it works, thanks

Even easier, search the skins database for "template" and dl any one of them. I am reasonably sure that all the bmp files therein are in the correct format.

(just me, but I use the one by Mischa Klement. It's easier to work on light grey and white.)

if you use paint shop pro..
open the image
click on:
colors > increase color depth > 24 bit

that should allow you to use more colors

Coffee... bad. Here's why:

-Coffee contains at least 1,000 seperate chemicals
-Only 26 of these have been tested on animals (good or bad depending on your viewpoint)
-Half of those tested caused cancer in the test animals

Well if it's that bad for you, all I can say is good, least I'll die with my eyes open

Air... bad. Here's why:

Air, (depending on where you live), contains 1000 - 14,000,000 seperate chemicals.
Only about 5 of these have been tested on animals.
Every g-damn one of them will turn your skin grey, make your hair fall out, cause blood to shoot from your orifices, and make your reproductive organs demand voting rights.

(guess who drinks a pot a day and smokes on top of it? hehehehehe)

to place it in the skin, just put the text file in your skin archive.

To actually make transparency, search for skinmaster or a little too called transtrace.
