Hi There,
I have a problem with AVS: although I have a GeForce 2MX (known as a very good Graphics-Chip), i only have good framerates with AVS at 320x240 Pixels - this is impossible, because I can play Unreal Tournament with 1024x768 and it works fine !
So my question: how can I get acceptable framerates with higher resolutions with AVS ? Please help me
Thx

avs does not use opengl nor hardware exceleration. all it need is a video card to be there thats all. only thing that can make it better is a better cpu
NOW CAN WE LOCK THIS THREAD NOW!?

The cpu speed does affect things a lot. Read this -

Is there no plugin that uses Direct3D for Winamp ? I'd like to have faster framerates ... really !

There are indeed many plugins for winamp that use 3d acceleration.
AVS does not.
Try Kata FX or some of the wild tangent studios plugins... just search the visualisations plugins section and look for them using 3 cards in the descriptions.
It's AVS specifically that does not use the 3d hardware.

But I figured I'd correct you since I knew what you meant anyways... And this guy would surely like to find some 3d accelerated plugins...
I know you already knew that though.. just figured youmisread his post ... ;)
