I have seen playlists that let you describe a song's "mood" (eg: happy, sad, hyper etc) and let you choose only to play songs that match that mood - eg: Music Match Jukebox. Something else that I would love to see as a winamp plugin is a user rating scale for songs.
The way I see it working is this - attached to the winamp window (incl winshade mode) would be a little scale of say 1 - 5. While a song it playing you click on a number to represent how much you like that song (presumably any song you like less than 1 you remove from your playlist). You can rate any song as many times as you want. Each song is given a score as an average of the ratings (your interest in a song can change over time). This rating is then used to "weight" the song to determine the likelyhood that it's played again soon.
This way my favourite songs might get played every 3 or four hours, and my least favourite songs might get played once a week. It would sure beat having to keep skipping a song that you don't want to delete, but you don't want to listen to so often.
IS there such a plug-in? Can one be made? It would be great to have it combined with mood, so it'll play your favourite songs of a given mood more often.
