Hello, everyone.

I just saw the "banner" at the entrance, it says Nullsoft propaganda, and I would like to nicely ask a "veteran" where can I find the story of the Nullsoft..how it started..etc.

I am very curious about the company since I like so much Winamp I would like to read about them.

Now a second question: I saw a post about protected CDs and I have a problem.

I have bought some five months ago a CD album, Nelly. It had played OK in my stereo CD, but suddenly it started skipping really bad. If I use my CD-Rom, it clicks terribly.
I somehow suspect that it is related with that "protection".

Should I go back to the store and cry about it? The CD is in perfect condition, no scratch whatsoever.

Thank you!
:)

It probably is the protection, though I dont recall when the protection was put in place. It sounds like it is the protection becasue thats what it was designed to do when placed in a CD drive in your computer, it was to click and skip and lots of other annoying things.

I sense that that page is not updated, but though very, very interesting. I liked it very much.

Now, in the light of the recent upgrades....does Nullsoft build for Linux and WebTv platform too? (I don't know a thing about Linux, about webtv I know they handle the sound through Beatnik...all sound file formats.)

Thank 33### (sorry, I can't remember your name..:) ) for the reply, yes, I have the feeling that I have bought a lemon. Should I go to the store and stuff it in their face?

What would you do if you would buy such product? That after 10 plays on a regular CD player starts skipping?

Thank you.
