I'm a new member here, and i comes from germany (sorry for my terrible english :o).
i would say that winam3 is very good, but hard to make a skin.
but that is good, because not ervery stupid guy can create a good skin, and so there where not so many ugly skins, make with approve programs.
i can't create a skin very good, but i would not puplish a bad skin from a skinmake program. i wonder wy so much ugly skins (make with a skinmake prog) get a good rating, and skins, make whitout a prob so a bad rate.

I already wait stretched on more winam3 skins, particularly from kinwashi whith a New version of aurigav ;)
i linke this skins.

but why there is nowhere any german winamp page with a german forum, and german tips to make a wa3 skin :(

the single something that me easily appears, is participates to translate winamp3 into german, but there are some "mutates" (ü; ö) which don't work, strangely, the "ä" works.
well, stupid mutates in the german language ;)

i need a german forum, but it's easy to understad the english (if it not too complicated), but writing in english... well

hi, cool, da hatten wir wohl die selbe idee.
ich hab mir auch ein sprachpaket gemacht, ich hab es mal mit deinem verglichen und festgestellt das wir uns ergänzen können, da bei beiden etwas fehlte.
außerdem hab ich gemerkt das ich ein paar groß und klein schreib fehler hatte. ich hatte am anfang alles groß.
jetzt müsste alles da und alles richtig sein.

nochwas: komischerweise funktioniert das "ä" bei der übersetzung, "ö" und "ü" aber nicht!?

Hi Voodoopower! Suche auch fieberhaft eine deutsche Skinanleitung im Netz. Aber bisher ohne Erfolg, alles nur in Englisch! Ist aber voll cool, das man sich diesmal bei der Erstellung der Skins voll austoben kann. Ist aber auch dafür 10fach komplizierter! Ich hoffe das es demnächst eine deutsche Anleitung irgendwo geben wird! MfG Walle :confused: ;)

I looked at your Locale file and it seems to me that you already uses some of my locale...

BTW: I am open for feedback but I have no intention to combine the two Locales, I think my one already includes the strings that should be translated IMHO (e.g. it doesn't translate Component names, in order to avoid bugreports with something like "the Medienverzeichnis doesn't" work).

i don't understand some sentences:

your file was already almost equally,
only that at your file you something was missing and at my file, so i took that what i would add.
and some word-groups (2 or 3) were better with at your file, o i add these.
it also logically when we have almost the same file, because we have translated both into the German

but what i mean, you forgett the following thinks:

It's a typo.

I think "ScreenShot" and "Skin infos" are ok.

"Media Library", "Classic Visualization", "Color controls", "Database Explorer", "Shoutcast server list" and "Skin Switcher" are names of Components and I think it's better to leave them in English.

Yea, <accelerator bind="y" action="prev"/> is important, it will be in the next version (I don't use the keyboard to control Winamp3 so I noticed it only a few days ago when extensively testing Beta 1)...

I hope you will understand that I won't merge the two Locales, there are only small differences and I think this wouldn't improve the quality and would only make things more different than they are...

BTW: We could play Counter-Strike sometimes, if you want ;)

About the ä-thing: It's a known bug (http://bugzilla.nullsoft.com:3430/show_bug.cgi?id=470), I will start using umlauts if they fix it.
