progress of my skin + question

here is the background of my skin....
what i did... i just replaced the default backgroun with this

1.)what should i do now?

2.)how can i get the white background as transparent?

IF you're using Photoshop:

Make sure that you don't have a background layer.
If this layer is the background layer, duplicate it and delete the layer.

now you can use the magic wand(use tool options and tell in not to use anti-aliased{uncheck it}) and select the white. Press delete, this clears the selection.

PRESS:
CTRL-ALT-SHIFT-S

this does save for web

save png-24 from the dropdown and check the transparency.

im using ps5.5 so im not sure but in 5.5 the combination of ctrl+alt+s is Save As. are you sure youre pressing shift
