When I came in here a few day ago, someone wanted to know how to get transparency in photoshop 5. I've played around a bit, and I think I know how now. Does anyone still want to know?

I thought only PS 6.x support transparency. Maybe you can upgrade for free.

Go ahead and post what you did. Never hurts to have extra knowledge :).

i dont know what youre talking about but i have a problem in ps5.5 i need some help on.

i have a png image of a button that has shadow. the image looks just like the button on a black background the shadow is in the alfachannel. but the i open the image is of the buttons with a shadow on a white background. so if i save the opened image i looks like crap. what should i do?

Paint Shop Pro kicks ass in this respect, just use the png optimizer i use it in blobamp http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?threadid=64325

photoshop5.5 does transparency. just delete your background layer. (and dont flatten your image)
