I have the same trouble with on demand files! It only gives the filename, no artist title or other ID3 tags at all. But yet, if I set music match jukebox as the default SHOUTcast player, the ID3 tags work fine. If all you want is to put a "station ID" like you mention, with no song titles, you can do that in the SHOUTcast server config file, or if you happen to be running the DSP in WinAmp, make your broadcast public and insert your title in there. That is a crappy workaround though, since if you only want on-demand there is no need for the DSP to be running. Oh, and by the way, I have checked all of the options for enabling ID3 tags in the winamp player options.

Im am only running the shoutcast server, not the winamp plugin.

not a big deal if people see n/a .. :)

In that case you can edit the "titleformat" section of the server config file:

TitleFormat=My Station: %s

will make the Title in WinAmp read:

My Station: Song Title (...or filename!)

I also found that If you do both, meaning run the DSP as public AND change the config file, you will see both titles in WinAmp. But that's just an observation...

right, TitleFormat does not appear to be working with on demand streaming.
