I am operating with Windows 2000. I have downloaded the latest version of Winamp. Winamp plays audio files from cd's but I can not get it to play the streaming audio from shoutcast. When I am on the winamp.com website and click on a broadcast to play it asks me if I want to save file to disk or run from current location. What do I have to do to get the steaming audio to play through winamp?

1) Make sure PLS is associtated with winamp
Preferences (Ctrl-P) > Setup > File types > "Select PLS"

2) In Windows Explorer
Tools > Folder Options > File Types > PLS > Advanced > UNcheck "Confirm open after download"

SAWG:

Thanks for the tip as I was having the SAME problem.

Let me add my two bits tho.

1) Your path thru IE didn't work for me. It had to be from the "TOOLS" in a file window not IE.

2) When I finally reached the end of your chain and selected "PLS" there was no "ADVANCED" anywhere so I started over. Looking for "ADVANCED" it is indeed in the same place as the "select PLS type" but the instant you select PLS my "ADVANCED" abruptly changed to "RESTORE". Upon hitting "RESTORE" happyness returned...

Thanks for the help.
