I just purchased psp 7.0 the other day. On my skin there are two parts of the image that I need to select at the same time, so I cand add Them to an alpha chanel. No matter what I try to do,I can only make one selection, never two. If any one has any idea what I am talking about, I would really appreciate some help.

Easy, hold down shift to added other selection, or control to subtract a selection.

Doesn't it fill you with anger when you select something in PSP7, and your system will grind to a halt trying to animate the selection?!

I have a dual 800 and it does that, nothing like PhotoShop. I don't know what those people at jasc are thinking, but the only good thing that has ever come out of PSP is the browse function.

mmmm...i dunno if your dual 800 are sleeping or something but my p3 700 laptop and my p3 800 desktop can animate it perfectly well

Nevermind on that, I think it might have been a Win2000 issue with my comp or something.

When you said that, I decided to check my PSP again (it's been a while), and it doesn't do it. Which may be because I now have XP Pro.

The animation does slow the things down not to a halt but considerably. Currsor movements at least under win2k. Select something then move the mouse rapidly.

Ahhh... finally someone who knows what I'm talking about! The mouse skips around the screen, and PSP takes 99% of the processor during selections in Win2000!

:(

Well my laptop must be far better than your pc as i did a selection then moved the mouse, and all was fine. Th emaximum the processor hit while doing the selection was 15% :D.Tho it could be because ive got sp2 installed?

Did you guys tried the 7.04 update available on Jasc's website? And about Win2000, be sure you have SP2, might help.

Just an idea.

I had SP2, but Photoshop 6 is my main tool anyway, I rarely use PSP... so I never got the chance to try the selection.

I am running WinXP Pro with much success right now, so I don't really care, and PSP is selecting just fine.
