is there a plug in that lets you cut really long MP3's into multiple sections you can save?

The best I've managed to find is MP3DirectCut available here for free:

A great feature is the ability to import .cue files (produced by rippers, detailing what tracks happen where) and cut the Mp3 appropriately.
