View Full Version : Folders skipped in recursive add to Playlist

Hey, I'm using 2.76, but I doubt this one has been fixed:

When I recursively add folder to a playlist, using the add dir button, any subfolders that begin with a period (.) will not get added. I realise this hides files on a linux box, but should that stop it getting added to my playlist on windoze?

This isn't really a huge bug, but if you are wondering why you never get songs from ...And Justice For All in your playlist, there you go :P

That's a Windows thing and I very much doubt that anything can be done about it in the Winamp code (though don't take my word for it)

I know that in Win9x you can't even name a folder starting with a period.
You get an error stating "you must enter a filename"

Whether this doesn't affect Win2k/XP I personally have no way of knowing (I'm assuming you have one of these OS's)

btw, please read the sticky threads before posting here, particularly 1 + 3

Both state that you should supply full system specs (amongst other things).
This way we wouldn't be having to guess what your Windows OS is.

So basically, I have no way whatsoever of being able to reproduce this alleged bug.

Anyone else?
