to the news article @winamp.com "Think before you type" from MrJones
http://www.winamp.com/news.jhtml?articleid=9163

even i am downloading a big prog for mp3 management. so i got time to read the goog article
from MrJones and I have to say something to it!

I also think it's a childish, senseless behaviour to piss off peoples work with irrevelant
comments like "Shit! Fuck and so on!"to authors skins, plugins etc.
I know how much work is in a skin or plug-in and it is very nice from people who have the time
and knowhow to build winamp skins to build them and to make them available to public at winamp.com. :winamp:
People who piss off authors should to say "sorry" to him or her.

Say: "Good Stuff!" to the work of skinners!
That's the best way to motivate them and so we all get better, well designed skins! :D

Greets to all skinners, Kazaa and Winamp Users and all Germans who got to school!
Watch the Kylie Dessous Video! Great Stuff!

Right off, I'm not a big fan of skinners and incomplete skins. But in all fairness, let the little guy have his fifteen seconds of fame.

I've designed skins myself without the help of fancy graphic editors. Actually, Microsoft Paint and Windows Notepad were my primary tools(I'm running on a 486/DX2, for the love of Mike). Needless to say, they didn't look that good, but they were complete(one of my pet peeves). Anyway, I share my skins with friends and they think it's cool that I can design them but admittedly they aren't very good.

So my proposal is this, just give users the option of sorting categories by staff rating/file size/whatever. The winamp staff knows a skinner and/or incomplete skin when they see it and rate it accordingly. Secondly, can the flamers who decide to rip on users' contributions because they were low-budget homemade stuff like mine.

C'mon, you wouldn't walk into someone's home and bitch about the drawings on their fridge by their kids, would you?
