I can't get linerec:// to work anymore in shoutcast 1.8.0, and I cant use 1.8.2 because it doesnt allow me to broadcast slowly enough for my bandwidth, or lack thereof. It was working fine, then all of a sudden it wasnt, and uninstalling and reinstalling both shoutcast and winamp has not worked. I have tried oddcast, but it disconnects me when i do voice for very long, and I DJ for a talk radio station, so that is no good. I can try to beat with 1.8.2 but it jumps terribly during mp3's, be they commercials or songs.

Anyone know what I can do to fix 1.8.0 to make it start recognizing linerec:// again? Please please please help me...

Was it really neccessary to cross post this

most who read this board read the other.

I should ignore you for this, but I am feeling nice.

Answer: use the advance mode feature in the DSP 1.8.0, not linerec.

I did not realize it was such a sin to post in both places, I am very new to this whole forum thing. I thank you for your time in replying, but I have not the faintest clue what you mean by it. I am sorry for wasting your time.

Well it is, you must understand that you are not the only one who blindly crossposts and it irritates the regulars.

To use advanced mode go to WInamp Preferences find the DSP list in the tree, and click Config on the DSP entry in the winamp window, it will give you the option to turn on Advanced mode.

*smiles*

No more irritation, I am outta here. Just got it into advanced mode, now it just remains to be seen if it will work right.

Your help is appreciated.
