Hi,

I use the multimonitor feature of the Matrox G550 video card.
Is there a possibility to use both of my monitors at the same
time with Mildrop?
I can use each one of them seperately, but i cant get it on both.
This would give a very nice effect.
Can anyone help me with this problem?

Thanx in advance.

I am not familiar with your vid card, but I can use 2 monitor's at the same time without a problem. I set both monitor's to on in the vid card settings. I also have S-video out which I use to hook up to my Sony trinitron TV, it is not as tight as a monitor, but it is still very cool and I can only use that or second monitor at the same time not both, so I can not use all 3 in other words. Do you have S-video out on you card? What is the specs of your PC and what operateing system are you using? I might not be able to help you much, but I can try. One thing I will tell you right off the bat is after you hook up the second monitor roboot then go to your vid settings and set both to on, most the times I have to do that for it to work and every time I reboot it will turn one monitor off so I need to do that every time I want two screens. Thanks,

My computer is a Pentium II 350 with 192 MB Ram.
Vid. card 32 MB ram @ 350 MHz.
Windows XP.

I can use both of the monitors perfectly in windows, I
have an extended desktop that way. But I can only use
them both in milkdrop when I make the second one a clone of the
first one. This way I see twice the same. But I want to use
the second monitor as an extension of the first.
Is this possible?

Sorry, I guess I did not understand your first question. If you are getting the same preset of mildrop on both screens at the same time then everything is working fine and if you can get your desktop on one and milkdrop on the other it is still working fine depending on how you have your settings. IF I am not understanding what you mean please try to clarify. I have ATI 32 meg on a P3 800mhz inspiron laptop running win2K and I like milkdrop on both screens at the same time they are both at the same resolution,( what ever I set that too) and they are both playing the same thing. I can only use either s-video or the second monitor for my second screen but not both. That is what I do. There is a setting in Milkdrop and settings in your vid card. You might have more or less options then me for your card. Like I say I am not familar with that card. I am probably not to much help for yu, but it seems that everything is working the way it should be. I thought you were having a problem with your vid card, and if that was the case I was going to tell you to make sure you have the latest drivers first. Still make sure you have the latest drivers, because sometimes new drivers add new features. SM

Also make sure you have the most recent bios for your machine. I just updated mine and one of the fixes was now I do not need to reboot if I have 2 monitors selected, if now retains my settings on shutdown. SM

He was wanting to know if you can output different things to each monitor, instead of doing the clone options.

basically no, Milkdrop does not support outputting to two different monitors at once (so it seems).

when the picture is being shown on both it is the video card cloning the picture. when it is shown on one it is working right.
