Just upped my first skin ever right here (http://dtd.niteshade.net/senator/skin-o-matic.wsz)

The skin is made 110% from scratch and is a bit inspired by The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams(R.I.P)

Anyways, I'd really like your opinions on it. I made it very plain, mostly because I hate bloated skins.

some people prefer to see the skin before downloading it becuase theymay not like it, and they dont want to waste their time. just put a download link there without a screenshot and not many people will make the effort of downloading it.

nice work tho. minimalist styling is cool, and its got an original colour.

not to bitch, but where does it say in big bright letters "Don't Panic"? I mean, surely you're not going to forget to place an improbablility drive somewhere on there? And another thing, I don't see any towels!!!

and you couldn't have chosen a better series of books:D:up:
(if anyone hasn't read them, go do it now!)

the volume bar is kewlest

if you ever update this skin, please change the text.bmp, numbers.bmp, and cbar so they aren't just color changes
also, the square buttons are a bit boring, I would change them to be like the shuf/rep etc..

Changing the text.bmp, numbers.bmp, and cbar will indeed be the next change I'll make to this skin :D

this skin has a lot going for it - on one hand you got the obvious consistancy in the color and overall design - and on the other hand .. almost all of your components are completely different

it just mismatches so perfectly

the mb buttons could also be changed to be more like the rest of the buttons

I think the EQ slider buttons would be extremely appropriate for the minibrowser buttons

i'm loving the green led's on the buttons

how about adding a button for the right-most playlist stack? the load/save/new one?
