i have received the error: yp.shoutcast.com gave error () = ??

i already went to the link you've posted for that specific problem.
i know it's a problem with a firewall. i didn't install a firewall, but i have a university connection so perhaps that's where the firewall problem is.

my question is: a) how do i make sure my port 80 is open?
b)i don't have firewall software installed on my computer, how can i edit the firewall i'm apparently behind to fix it?

Hi,

you can not edit the firewall configuration that is behind you (at your university). You have to inform the Administrator of your network that he is so kind to open the port (the port that used YP) for you.
