any chance for an option which would remove all of the ID3 tags in my playlist at once? they really annoy me and they're usually wrong... this is easier than correcting 1000+ ID3 tags.

This is currently not able to be done in Winamp without editing each independent tag. However, you can use a third-party program such as ID3kill (http://www.headstrong.de/software-id3kill.shtml) to nuke all your id3 tags at once.
See this thread for more details. (http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=64962)

Well, there are lots of programs that will delete the ID tags - see Sawg's list in Tech Supp Greatest Hits:

But why not update the tags? For using jukeboxes (such as the up-and-coming WinAmp 3), portable players, and the like, ID tags are a must.
Many of the programs on Sawg's list will do batch naming from the file name, or you can do manual renaming, sometimes in batch; some programs will update the file names after you update the tags. Some will disagree, but I like the ID3v2 tags because they don't truncate titles, etc.
My experience is that the WinAmp tag editor is the most reliable around for creating and editing ID3v2 tags. (DL files many times have corrupted tags, in my experience). Doing them in WinAmp takes a little time, but it is really not too bad.
I use purchased versions of MP3TagClinic and MP3TagStudio (spyware in the free version), but many other free ones work fine I've been told.
