XP + Fullscreen seems to = crash

XP Pro, Fullscreen.
What happens is MilkDrop will run no problem.. click with mouse (Yes, I have a mouse cursor), and it bombs... sorta... screen looks like standard windows desktop, but mouse doesn't work, nothing SEEMS to work... yet Milkdrop also seems to be running in an overlay mode...

Tested Overlay mode: THat just didn't go well.

System specs:
Pentium 700 (Don't ask why), 512MB, GeForce2 GTS w/32MB
Desktop running at 1152x864 x32bit

Any thoughts on this?
I've been told "Disable active desktop"... but seeing as it's XP and you CAN'T, well... :)

Install latest video drivers

Reinstall DirectX

If that doesn't work, come back and ask again. There's no reason MD should crash like you say.
