what makes a good skin great?

what makes a skin good for that matter?

is it the shape? is it the buttons? is it how it all flows together?

is it the colour? is it consistency? is it that it is easy to read?

HELP ME! I was pondering this quietly one morning, what makes a skin good in your eyes. discuss. you may need to give examples.

if i knew every aspect that makes a skin look great I'd probably get featured skins 24/7 ...:p
well, i'd say the skin has to be innovative, all i could think of right now. and after all, not everyone has the same taste, someone might say "that skin is the best i've seen" and another person might just start laughing...

really, i dont think theres anything that makes a good skin, its just personal opinions etc..

I don't think there is one formula that works... or at least I hope there isn't.

The skin has to have coherence and not be random (exception: dadamp), it has to be aesthetically pleasing yet funtional and most of all it has to give off "I was nurtured into existence" vibes.
