I think the discussion on this (http://www.cnn.com/2002/LAW/02/27/scotus.disability/index.html) would be pretty unanimous, but I'd like to hear it anyway.

i'd like to hear this guy's reason for wanting the job when he knows it will make him sick.

According to this (http://www.cnn.com/2002/LAW/02/27/scotus.ada.ap/index.html) article earlier today,

"I feel like it's nothing wrong with me," Echazabal said after attending Wednesday's oral argument. "I'm still feeling good."

His lawyers say he has no symptoms, and remains ready and able to work at the refinery.

"I like my old job. I know the job," Echazabal said.

most people would say 'this is going to hurt me, so i'll stay away'. if i was this guy, i'd find another job asap. plus, you cant figure that working at an oil refinery is fun.

They said it was dangeroud to his health in his condition. They didn't say extremely dangerous. I think he should be allowed to get a job like that. Buuut, I think he should be made to sign an attestation that he knows the risks associated between his condition and the job he's applying for, so that he couldn't sue his emplyer should he come very close to death.

indeed, a good idea

he'd still try to sue the company when his health did (inevitably) fail, and would probably win (everybody loves the little guy)
