Help Im a Newb!!!! I thought I did everything correct but!!

how can I fix this error. everything seemd to be working fine but I keep gettign this error and noone can connect to my stream.

[yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave extended error (Connection refused 66.82.xx.x:8000 check shoutcast.com troubleshooting)

Hmm...i'm getting that error too, I'm using Windows 2000. I don't have firewall and my connection is not shared.

I think the problem is that port 80 is not open, but how the heck i can open it? :igor:

First if you are using a broadband connection you have to make sure you have the firewall on it disabled and have outside access. Windows XP you must disable the built in firewall. Internet Connection Sharing has it's own settings too.

OK I disabled my proxy made sure nothing else is using port 80. Read all the help files scrolled thru this forum read everything reinstalled and still I get the same damn error :(

The IP address is not listed with this error so the help thread is of no use to me... dammit!!!!!!!! WTF any ever had this b4 !!!!!!
