Can I stream *to* a shoutcast server?

This is what I'd like to do - anyone with ideas, throw 'em at me.

1) I'd like to install a Linux/Win32 box, small HD, connected to my Stereo via a soundcard.
2) I'd like to then be able to Stream MP3s from whatever computer I'm on at the time *TO* the box, live; rather than having to upload the mp3s to a large HD connected to the box and having it play 'em.

Get me? I download (or my wife downloads) and mp3, and we can then play the song, travelling over my network to the connected Linux/Win32 jukebox, which actually outputs the audio.

I'm certain there must be some way to do this... I just haven't run across it.

If I understand correctly, you want to stream files from your main computer to your "stereo" computer. From what I gather, these computers are networked together. All you have to do is set up a Shoutcast Server (http://www.shoutcast.com/download/serve.phtml) (You can also try AnalogX (http://www.analogx.com/contents/download/network/ssshout.htm)). This server (make sure it isn't public) would run off your main computer.
Then you would plug in the IP and port of this server into winamp running on your "stereo" computer. If you mean redirecting a stream from your Main Computer to your other computer, I'm not sure. You could use a proxy server (AnalogX (http://www.analogx.com) makes a free one) To route shoutcast to your "stereo" computer.
In theory you could use a box with just a mobo, a netcard with bootrom, and some ram, and an audio card. Using a bootrom you can run the computer from the network like a workstation without actually having a hdd on the computer.
