Ad-Aware has released an updated reference/signature file. This keeps Ad-Aware current with the latest spyware. It's a small file (16.6kb). Just download it and extract it to your Ad-Aware folder.
What's new?
Detects and removes BonziBuddy, Attune and several updated components from other scum\spyware systems.
Download it here (http://tomcoyote.com/lsdownloads.html).

Nice one. I also use ZoneAlarm, because nothing can connect to the net from my machine without me knowing about it.

Version 5.71 of Ad-aware just released. Again, just use the link in my first post. Their main server is still down, so you will probably be redirected to a separate download site. Also I can't find what the new features/changes are. If anyone runs across them, please post them here. :)

Ad-aware 5.8 released.
Included with this update is a new referencefile 005-29-04-02 with the following new targets: OpenMe.exe, recent GoHip version, Network-Essentials, DownloadWare (This is the "malware" RadLight installs I think), ImiServers IEPlugin and additional browser hijackers.
This is slightly old news, but the forums have been down. The best mirror to get Ad-aware right now is here (http://www.lavasoft.nu).

What programs are you referring to Andrew? There are almost always alternative programs you can use instead of programs that contain spyware.

Yet another update. Ad-aware 5.81 (http://www.lavasoft.nu/)
New with AA 5.81:
Scanner performance and stability improved.
Reffile update:
ref 009-05-05-02
Jaypee Systems BHO spread through the MusicMagnet FileSharing software: Installs silently, whether you accept the MM license agreement or not. Displays a mouse sensitive area at the top of the browser window and retrieves banner ads from music-magnet.com. Installation is not transparent to the user and no uninstaller provided.
Recent CometCursor version (CCv4.1): Extremely invasive. Default search page hijacking.

New Referencefile for Ad-Aware
"With this update, FlashTrack and NetRadar detection has been added to the referencefile. The release number is 016-16-05-02."
Download it from Lavasoft (http://www.lavasoft.nu/) or if you have RefUpdate installed you can update that way. If you don't have RefUpdate I would recommend downloading it. It's small, free and makes keeping Ad-Aware's reference files current a lot easier.

/me wishes. :p I just hate Ad/Spyware. And Ad-aware is a great program for getting rid of it.
By the way this is a little late, but there was a new reference file for Ad-aware released 3 days ago.
Adds UCmore detection and removal to Ad-aware.The release number is 017-21-05-02.
The usual link in the above post/s. :)

Again a little late, so most of you Ad-aware users have probably updated already. If not, Ad-aware 5.82 was released a couple of days ago.
Whats new:
This update includes some minor enhancements and a new referencefile, targeting NetZany and a new Lop.com version.
Get it here (http://www.lavasoft.nu/).
This is one of the best threads ever! :D
Which also gave me an idea..
Is there a announcement mailinglist for ad-aware?
If there isn't, I should try to set up one. :D
