Windows Media Player V Winamp 3

Ive got Windows Media player 8 and ive downloaded Winamp 3. Ive tested it and the sound is identical on both. Why choose winamp 3 over windows media player 8??? Windows media player having bloatware not being an answer. :igor: <- funny!!

your right, it being bloated isnt an answer, it taking 15 seconds to load is, it taking another 5 to play a movie is, it screwing up my playlists is, it having crappy EQ support is, it having a LARGE screen foot print is..shall I go on? but essentially, it's about preference really, in the end, ppl still stick to MP cuz it's what they have, but you see, I'm a power user, and I like things tweaked just right, just like anyone else that uses Winamp 3 while it's still a beta, just out of alpha stage. If you like MP, go play with it, nobody is stopping you, and if you see it as better, that's fine too, but I dont, and quite a few other ppl dont either, I personally cant stand it, just too many little things that grated on my nerves, that sort of thing, like that list I made above..you'll say so what, but I'll say, well why should I have to wait 10 extra seconds for it to load..and you'll say, well, what's 10 seconds matter, and I'll say, that after the 600th 5 second video clip, that it matters quite a bit..but that's also neither here nor there, what you prefer is a matter of PREFERence, so in the end, it's up to you, but that's my view, and probably the view of quite a few other ppl. btw, if your talking about mp3 quality, check out AudioActive.com, it's the same thing, but it loads in about 1/10 of a second and it's basically a thin client, so even there, there are better things than winamp3, it's just what you prefer, I wont use audioactive any more because of lack of features, but seeing as MP is rather FULL of features, I dont see that as usefull either, considering some of them are the wrong features..anyway, enough of that, that's my opinion, dont bother to flame me for it, cuz it's only an opinion
