is it possible to retreive the current WinAmp volume at all from WA2? ive been looking at the list of SendMessages for a bit now, and see nothing that comes even close to this.

As far as I know there's no way to get the current volume in 2.x. I'm writing an external controller app for Winamp; when it starts up my app sets Winamp's volume to zero. That way I definitely know the current volume! :)

hmm... this idea wouldnt work in my project tho, as i need to be able to check the volume on the fly at any given moment for specific events to occure correctly.

about the only other thing i can think of is to modify the system mixer directly, but this is not updated within WinAmp itself, and it doesnt work exactly like i want it to with DirectSound and MIDI output. heh, oh well..
