And of course, in wa3 you can. Take this skin for example: http://winamp.deskmod.com/?show=showskin&skin_id=7583

It could just as easily have been a skin mod, and just included the sections of CornerAmp it needed. In fact, you can include the elements of several different skins if you like. I know skin mods are relatively unexplored to date, but it's just as easy to include a chunk of another skin as your own, so the next time you want to adapt a skin, try doing it as a skin mod instead of including the other skin's bitmaps.

And don't worry, eventually the web site will have a system to make sure you can easily find and download the base skin for the mods you download... right Steve? ;)

I had been wondering about that for a bit. Will that mean there will be some kind of skin identification/versioning system? Just wondering.
