New Skin "Chromed". What You Think?

Interesting...I like the cbuttons and shuf/rep, theyre really cool.

The main body is a little plain though. The 3d effect is nice, but its not enough to break it up.

Maybe have some sort of cutout for the vis/track info area and it would look better.

This means that you'll have to do the same thing to the text.bmp.

The buttons are ok. Not very original though. I'd throw some sort of texture on them.

And yeh, you'll have to edit text.bmp to use that sort of style. You'll also have to put the chrome bar over the bitrate/khz area too.

And something very annoying for me: If you uncheck the "use bitmap font" in the Display options... well, the song title will be probably crap. This is a problem I found with many good skins, but I like to have international support in the main window :hang:

Thats the users choice though jellby. Sometimes its impossible to get around that. I usually take it into consideration, but even if it looks awful without use bitmap for main title display it most likely wouldnt make me change it.

All my skins use customised text.bmp's.Its all up to the user.No complaints so far.

I have nothing against bitmap fonts, I customize my text.bmp too, but I try to get a skin that looks good when bitmat font isn't used. It is an option like any other, and it should be skinned properly (like the winshades, easter-egg, clutterbar... not everybody uses it, but some people do). I didn't mean to be rude, I just wanted to warn him about the possible 'bug', which sometimes could be fixed simply with a little bit bigger song title box.

My first skins didn't have that problem. I made a 'box' big enough to fit the bitmap font and the PLEDIT font. Now I'm just making it big enough for the bitmap font. Since the bitmap font is the default, I do that.
