I've been able to get all the information from the header (or so is what I think) But, somehow it does not work OK on some MP3s. See the image to understand better.

Both dialog boxes are showing the same information. However, Winamp says it's a MPEG-1 Layer 3, and my app thinks it's a MPEG-2.5 not defined Layer. Also, the headers seems to start on a different position. What could be the difference with this MP3??
two things:
1 shorten the sig lose the advert
2 WELCOME TO THE BORDS!
3 I have no idea what the hell your talking about but sombody will (ok thats 3 things)
I think this should be in a developer forum. MP3's are MPEG-1 Level 3 files so your program is definatly wrong with that.

I just can't say it enough. Graphics should not exceed 20 pixels in height in the sigs. That is, if you really need them at all. Ach. Ah well, my opinion, just that it annoys the b0rk out of me when all you see is signature, signature, signature.. And what happened to the 'one signature per thread' limit? blah,.

Isn't there a technological solution to that? Force vB to drop any more copies of your sig after your first reply to a thread.
I'd think that'd be easier to implement than trying to convince the 60,000 some odd members to remember to disable their sigs every time they post (-1), especially in threads that run into the hundreds of replies.

the mpeg file info is not wrong....
their is a codec called mpeg 2.5.. it's usually used in lower bitrates/frequencies
apparently better sound.....(at lower bitrates)
where it says not defined.... is because the header doesn't give that info.
mpeg 1 layer 3 is better sounding at higher bitrates
I'd expect the Winamp one to be correct though seaming as it's (assuably) the same file in both pictures.

It says that the layer is not defined because I got a '0' in the bit of the layer. However, :winamp: says that the header starts at 2338 and my app says it start at 2306

Don't do that :(
When some newbie says that their winamp locks up I wouldn't be able to say "link in my sig", cause it'd only be on the one at the top...
If you see what I mean.
