Hey guys (moderators), can you do the noobs a favor and, when transferring a thread to another forum, leave a copy behind so they know where their thread went? I just posted in one and ended up in a skin forum (YUCKY!) but returned here to not see a copy of it.
Thanks,
Grand Poobah
Ps. you can delete this thread after acknowledgement:)
Moved->To nice observation section.
I haven't noticed this but then again I don't supose you would unless you look hard or end up somewhee else.

True. That happened to me soon after I first joined, and was like, what the hell happened?!

I thought that a redirect link was left in the original forum when the thread was moved to a new forum.

um...
it always leaves a re-direct for me...
thats how Vb is set by default
you have to manually choose to copy witout leaving re-direct
if a n00b posts in the GD...the re-direct will quickly go to the bottom(and then onto the next page)
(you usually know when I move things...I post in them):)

Actually, you can move a thread without a redirect left behind.
A redirect is what I'm talkin of not a full copy.
Next time you move a thread, check out your options carefully:)

yeah i know....
move with redirect [default]
move without redirect
copy thread
its more effort to change from default
(unless specific purpose is needed... then default should always be used)

Ummm, I moved the thread in question by "Azz3D", and err, the re-direct was left in place as usual, see attached...
Notice the one almost above it, I moved that one as well,
Think I moved it while you were posting in it Chev, cos your post wasn't in it when I started to move it, but was there when it arrived in it's new forum. The redirect is burried somewhere on page 2 of Gen Discuss
All I seem to do these days , shuffle threads around for people who can't find the right forums...., such is life.....
