Hi,

I'd really like it if the following two features would be added to Winamp (either version 2.xx or 3.xx).

1. Memory Function

With memory funtion I mean a functionality which can remember the exact position (track, time) in a playlist at which a user can continue listening to the tracks after he stopped winamp. Basically it would be the same as in some DVD players where you can "save" the position you've stopped watching the film so you *can* continue at the same position at a later time.

2. Continous Play

Continous play means that there is no gap between two songs. This could be quite useful for some recordings (e.g. live recordings or where track one "blends over" into track two).

I'm not quite sure if these features are allready implemented but I haven't found them yet. ;)

1. Get the "Resumer" plug-in.
2. If you have new Winamp select "crossfading ds output plug-in" and select gapless mode. Otherwise go to peter's site (http://www.blorp.com/~peter) and download any gapless plug-in.

The gapless one's work well, most of them, but Resumer does NOT in any way do what he is suggesting, it never has. If you Close Winamp ajnd then re-open it, it will always start from the 1st song in the list. At least this is absolutely true in ver 2.79 (its perevious ver that i cannot remember the number of) and 2.80. This is the case with the most recent version of Resumer, unless there has been a newer update since 14 days ago.

Than use WinAmp Profiler (http://www.winamp.com/components/detail.jhtml?componentId=75155) or Eggware AutoPlay.
