I have a shoutcast server behind some sort of proxy at my office (i need some way to figure which proxy it is in the first place).
How do i go about getting my station accross the Wall?? I have heard stuff about Port Mapping .. how does that work?? Where do i get started??
So far i am able to broadcast within my office network ..

are you authorized to make changes to your office network's configuration?

you need to ask the admin how. only he/she can map ports. If you don't know the admin, get to know the admin.

I dont have rights enough to change any network settings on the firewall.. For that i need admin's help... I can do what i want on my system though.
I was wondering about some concept called Tunnelling.. Is there any way for a Server to be setup on Port 80 (which i believe is always allowed) accept packets on that port, and pass them on as such to the shoutcast server?? I know there is such a thing as HTTP Tunneling, but i dont know how a remote machine can still resolve my IP. and no idea how to go about it anyway..
ummm
