It's the title of a pretty old song, it's also a timely question.
What sort of thing are you going to do for fun this summer?
I plan on visiting a few new lakes since I'm a recreational boater.
I'll play golf some.
I'll go to a car show or a boat show for sure.
I'll go to quaint little out of the way shops with Mrs. Deaux looking for old stuff...it won't be fun, but I'll do it.
I might ride my dirtbike some...I aint started it in a couple of years....so I might not too.
Been thinkin of buying an ultralight.
Anyway
What'cha gonna do?

I was planning on spending the summer staying indoors in front of my computer. My parents are forcing me to go on a couple of camping trips though.

Taking the summer off to do whatever...
For the last two summers, I went back home,
and my daughter and I did something together.
2 years ago we went to Ozzfest Atlanta.
Last year we went to the Mid-Town Music Festival in Atlanta (http://earcandy_mag.***********/mmid-1.htm).
This summer we're going to Dragon*Con (http://www.dragoncon.org/).
This will be my 3rd Dragon*Con, her first.
It's way at the end of summer, but we're already paid up.
Can't wait.

I'll be working, staying in, saving up money for the ceremony in the fall. Pretty dull, but it's worth it.
I'm training myself not to plan that far ahead. Planning only causes shattered dreams, and dashed hopes. I'm just going to take the days as they come. If I accomplish something meaningful and lasting, good for me. If I don't, no regrets.
Besides, I got enough happy news today to last a lifetime.

Do tell.
Meet me by the monkey bars after school, and I'll spill the beans.

My Summer dream: Do nothing.
Really: Drive, movie productions team, attempt to get a job, movies, update my badly needed updates website. And practically stay here all summer.
Later This Summer (possibly): Drive more, fly 300 miles, then bus 150 miles after that. Go to school. :)

hahahahaha!
I'll be staying up late, sleeping in and talking to people on the internet for hours (mostly.) I'm also gonna learn how to skateboard and read my Stephen King novels. Those are some damn good books. AND I might try to write a book and get it published...but that depends on how lazy I am.
